Songwriting in the Classroom!
This session is for all teachers, not just music teachers! No music knowledge is required. (Just desire!) We remember what we sing, and we remember songs more than we remember words or facts. (How do you remember the alphabet?) Music brings the concepts to life. In this workshop, all teachers will learn how to write a song AND teach your students how to write songs. More importantly, teaching students to write songs can reinforce any learning concepts that are being taught in your classroom. The workshops will be based on Dr. Robinson's book, Songwriting Made Easy! Yes, anyone can write a song. Just like your students, you will have fun writing and performing your own songs!
Equipment needed: Wireless Lavalier Microphone, LCD Projector for PowerPoint, Powered Speakers for Computer, Piano
